Why Academics should blog

I think maybe this post should be required reading for academics and the administrators who don't know how to "count" blogging...

    Interesting. I think the weakest point is about links being better than footnotes--if you're a generalist, fine, but if your field isn't up to date on the internet, it won't work very well. And I did love Andrew Sullivan's "Why I Blog."
